Full Scope Civil Group was founded in August of 2018 by James Cromwell at their family’s home kitchen in Denver, Colorado. When it began operations in 2019, it was with a team of five employees, including James and his wife Anna. Today, FSCG has grown into a competitive and forward-thinking leader for commercial and municipal projects. 

40+ Years Experience

In 2020, James brought on longtime coworker Cody Provost as co-owner and -operator of Full Scope Civil Group. The two had worked together respectively as Field Superintendent and Project Manager to great effect on a number of past projects. Together, they bring over 40 years of combined experience to the table.

James Cromwell

James Cromwell believes good work builds strong relationships. Since starting Full Scope Civil from his family’s kitchen table in 2018, he has woven that perspective into the DNA of our rapidly growing business. As Founder & President, he brings over 20 years of industry experience to the helm, specializing in projects such as water treatment and industrial plants, data centers, and self-perform civil projects. Along the way, James has become a trusted expert in underground utilities, earthwork, excavation, process piping, and project management. He is also a strong steward of safety and Full Scope’s Vision Zero principles, which have helped prevent a single, recordable safety incident in the field. 

James brings immense passion to his role as a business leader, but his top priority is and always will be his family. He spends most of his free time with his wife and daughter, whom he loves to take on camping adventures in the Colorado mountains. Otherwise, you can probably catch him watching the game.

Cody Provost

Some have a knack for seeing big visions through to fruition, and Cody Provost is just that leader. A perennial project manager with many hats at his disposal, he has led civil construction initiatives across all phases since 2009. In that time, he has refined his broad perspective as an estimator, project engineer, project manager, and superintendent. He drives immense value for stakeholders and clients, backed by a proven resumé of impressive, large-scale projects — some with budgets in the hundreds of millions. As Vice President of Full Scope, he develops the policies, procedures, and performance standards behind our high-performing team and business. 

When Cody isn’t helping scale infrastructure, he likes to spend his time scaling mountains. You can find him taking advantage of all that beautiful Colorado has to offer, especially the skiing, hiking, and fishing. But he still knows how to take a little time to enjoy the fine art of just hanging out.
